In Andrew’s Steps
Andrew was a disciple of Jesus Christ who we find, most often, simply bringing men to Jesus (Jn. 1:42). In John 12:20-22, we find some Greeks who were coming to worship the Jewish God. On their quest, they came to Philip and said, “Sir, we wish to see Jesus.” Philip then brought these men to Andrew. In step with what we find Andrew doing elsewhere, he, “came and told Jesus.” In Jewish culture, Greeks were unclean and looked down upon. They were not thought worthy of God’s blessings or salvation. I believe, we see here in this passage, what we find throughout all Scripture, the gospel was meant for all people, not just the Jews. The gospel is to be extended to all: rich, poor, gay, straight, moral, immoral, religious, irreligious, president, prostitute, black, white, Jew, Greek, etc. It is inclusive, in that it includes all people groups. But, what Andrew knew also, was that the gospel was exclusive, in that in order to have eternal life, one must know the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom the Father sent (Jn. 17:3).
It is “In Andrew’s Steps” which we purpose to follow, bringing the hope of the gospel to all . . . including those often forgotten in small-town America. Like Andrew understood, men did not need him, but rather Jesus Christ and Him alone!
“Jesus was going through all the towns and villages, . . . preaching the gospel of the kingdom . . .”
— Matthew 9:35
Mission
In Andrew’s Steps Ministries is an evangelism ministry with its focus on small-town America and beyond. Our focus is to bring the gospel of Jesus Christ into conflict with the sin of this world. We purpose to expand Christ’s kingdom through prayer, open-air evangelism, tract distribution, and one-on-one conversations. We believe the spiritual gift of evangelism is not only for those who are lost, but also for the equipping and encouraging of the saints to fulfill the Great Commission. It is to this end we labor and seek to glorify God in all we do.
We trust in the sovereignty of God over the pragmatism of man. We believe when the gospel is proclaimed, it is always effective; in that, it either softens men’s hearts resulting in salvation or hardens men’s hearts resulting in condemnation. When God’s word goes out, it always accomplishes His intended purposes. Thus, He is glorified either in His mercy or justice; but either way, His perfect will is done. God has declared the means by which faith comes, which is by the hearing of the word of Christ (Rom. 10:17). Thus, in seeking to glorify God, the preaching of “Christ crucified” is central to our message.

Street Ministry
Through open-air preaching, door-to-door evangelism, tract distribution, and one-on-one conversations we seek to bring the gospel to every sphere of the society in which we live.
Abortion Ministry
We labor weekly at a nearby Planned Parenthood. We cry out to moms and dads, offer help, and plead with them to obey the God they know exists. We offer spiritual, emotional, and material assistance to all who would receive it. By God’s grace, we have seen babies saved and lives changed through our labors.
Student Ministry
We seek to engage the next generation, both high school and college students, with the gospel of Jesus Christ. We seek to put the Christian worldview into conflict with the secular anti-Christian worldview. We determine to lift up the name of Jesus Christ and show how all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him (Col. 2:3).
“When we preach Christ crucified, we have no reason to stammer, or stutter, or hesitate, or apologize; there is nothing in the gospel of which we have any cause to be ashamed.”
— C.H. Spurgeon
